What is Whiskers?
Whiskers is the cat in the seven-day job. The day starts by feeding them, cleaning the litter box after it is used, and playing with the living-room laser until a blue bar fills. Neglecting one of those tasks and sleeping is a separate ending: a ghost if they are not fed, a biohazard house if the box is skipped, and their wrath if you skip play. The pronoun in the play-skip writeup is 'his.'

How do you get Whiskers?
Whiskers is already in the house when the cat-sitting job starts. You do not unlock or buy them.
How do you use Whiskers?
On a survival run, finish the bowl, the litter minigame, and the blue laser bar every day. Do not hold the laser in a tight circle, and do not pet them 100 times if you are protecting the good ending. If they suddenly have a human head, stare for a few seconds and make sure that head is gone before sleep. If the front door is open at bedtime they try to leave.
